This week the 2012 SolarPACES Symposium will be held in Marrakech. It will run from the 11 to 14 September, and will gather the major global technical experts in concentrated solar power. This time, the event has the support of MASEN and IRESEN, energy institutions of the host country.
On the Spanish side, the National Renewable Energy Centre (CENER) will actively participate in the Symposium, and Manuel Blanco, Director of Concentrated Solar Power CENER in his capacity of Chairman of the Executive Committee of SolarPACES will chair the meeting.
SolarPACES is the Implementing Agreement of the International Energy Agency devoted to promoting the development and marketing of concentrating solar thermal systems for the production of electricity as well as solar chemistry applications. Currently representatives of 20 countries are part of SolarPACES: Austria, Australia, Algeria, Brazil, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Morocco, Mexico, Republic of Korea, South Africa, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United States and Spain . Also present are the European Commission, through DG Research and DG TREN, and Mitsubishi (as a sponsor).
