Himoinsa has announced a partnership agreement with the energy division of the Japanese
multinational Yanmar Energy System Co. LTD to undertake projects in the energy efficiency field in Spain and Portugal. Companies join to offer solutions in micro- cogeneration based on natural gas, LPG and biogas, among other options to be included in the near future.
Himoinsa steps in the energy market have led them to a firm commitment to energy efficiency and self consumption, two essential tools to reduce energy costs and protect the environment. Among the major projects planned by both companies, gas micro-cogeneration systems are key. Unlike conventional power generation equipment, cogeneration is the simultaneous generation of two types of energy: electricity and heat. The electricity comes from the generator group and the heat from the engine cooling water and exhaust gas. Heat is extracted through heat exchangers to produce hot water or steam. Thus, fuel use is maximized resulting in a type of decentralized energy, clean and efficient that helps improve the competitiveness of companies consuming hot water, thermal oil or steam.
In the words of Manuel Aguilera, commercial director of Himoinsa’s department of cogeneration: ” Yanmar micro-cogeneration is a global leader in electrical efficiency, which means that for every kW of electricity generated we use less fuel. In addition, maintenance is performed every 10,000 hours, they are available for outdoor installation, and incorporate cooling, facilitating auto consumption. Certainly the best micro- cogeneration unit in the market in its power range”.
Himoinsa will incorporate into its micro-cogeneration models’ range CP5WE, CP10WE and CP25WE, especially suitable for hotels, swimming pools, sports centers, residential buildings, retail and industry.
Yanmar is a global leader in the manufacture of engines, industrial and agricultural machinery and has supplied more than 5,000 micro-cogeneration units, mainly for the Japanese market.
